Level A of the Ad-Duha Program (recommended for children in KG - 1st Grade) offers young children the opportunity to learn a variety of Islamic subjects using our specially designed curriculum materials. The program is based on 1-2 hours a day of study. There are art activities, short stories, worksheets, computer games, special projects and much more...everything your child will need for an active year.

Curriculum Overview

Your child will learn the following skills on completing this program, insha-Allah:

  • Memorize half of Juz Amma' (30th Juz of the Qur'aan)
  • Explore the Tafseer (meaning and explanation) of each surah studied
  • Study 40 of Allah's most Beautiful Names (Al-Asmaa' Ul-Husnaa)
  • Memorize 10 daily ad'iyaa (supplications)
  • Learn to connect Arabic letters
  • Learn to read and write Arabic words and verses from the Qur'aan

All-Inclusive Program Price

When you purchase this program you pay one price that includes everything. That means lesson manuals, textbooks, workbooks, software, supplemental materials, even shipping & handling* (within the continental US and Canada, additional shipping fees may be charged for overseas orders). One price, that's all you pay and you get everything you need to educate your child.

Sibling Course Option

If you will be purchasing the same curriculum level for more than one child, we offer the Sibling Course option (see pricing at the top of the page). With this option you pay a discounted price for the second child's curriculum and receive an additional set of all consumable materials (i.e. workbooks, grading sheets and lesson manuals). Your children will share all non-consumable materials (i.e. textbooks, CD's and Qur'aan) that come as part of the full program purchased for the first child.

Reusing the Course

If you want to reuse the course with a second child after your first child has completed it, you can simply purchase the Sibling Course and you will receive a second set of all consumable materials (workbooks, Mini Tafseer Books, etc.) that can be used with the non-consumable textbooks, flashcards, and software that you purchased for your first child. This means you only pay the full price of the program for your first child, and every child after that will get the discounted Sibling Course price.

Continuing Course Option

If you have previously purchased the Level ALP full course for your child, you will want to purchase the Continuing Course for Level A (see top of page). The Arabic Playhouse CD used in Level ALP and Level A is the same. Therefor by purchasing the Continuing Course option you will receive all the Level A program materials minus the Arabic Playhouse CD which you already received as part of the Level ALP supplies.

These steps will help you decide if your child is ready for the curriculum and if the curriculum meets your needs/expectations, insha-Allah. Step 1: Complete the Skills Assessment

Ad-Duha is dedicated to providing students with the Islamic Studies & Arabic level that is best for them. Therefore we have provided the following Skills Assessment (to be completed before ordering materials) to help you decide if this level of the curriculum is right for your child.

In order to do well in this level of the program your child should have completed the ALP Program OR have all of the following skills in order to do well in this level of the program:

  • Can stay on task for 30 minutes or longer (for example when playing a game, cleaning up toys or looking at a book).
  • Can read and write the entire Arabic alphabet.
  • Can read and write Arabic numbers 1-10 (at least, 1-100 is preferred)
  • Can give the meanings of at least 5 Arabic words from the Qur'aan (for example shams, naas, rasool, etc.).
  • Can color staying in the lines without scribbling.
  • Can complete arts and crafts activities independently that involve cutting, pasting, etc.
  • Has memorized at least the last 10 surwaar in Juz 'Amma (30th Part of the Qur'aan) and can recite them clearly without assistance.
  • Has memorized at least 10 daily ad'iyaa (i.e. eating drinking, sneezing, etc.) and can recite them clearly without assistance.
  • Has had some exposure to the Tafseer of the suwaar and the meanings of the ad'iyaa (this is preferred but not required).

How to evaluate your child's performance:

  • If your child cannot complete all the items on this assessment, we recommend you purchase the ALP Program first.
  • If your child can complete all items on the assessment, then he is ready to enter Level A of the Program.
  • If your child can do more than this assessment covers (for example writing short ayaat or memorizing more than 1/2 of Juz 'Ama) move on to Level B.

The Daily Lesson Manuals (1 manual for each semester) will guide you step-by-step through each lesson, and will provide you with all the background information, suggested activities, and teaching advice needed to meet each learning goal. Weekly and monthly grading sheets are included for each unit to help you keep track of your child's progress.

NEW! The major focus of this level is Tawheed (the unique nature of Allah). Students learn 40 attributes of Allah in their Ibraheem & Imaan Storybook Set. Each lesson features a short story that focuses on building Tawheed while exploring the names of Allah and the stories that illustrate these attributes from the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah. The stories follow Imaan and her grandson Ibraheem as they grow together in their love of Allah and each other.

Important Notes

  • All students must complete a Skills Assessment (see above) before ordering curriculum in order to ascertain which level will be best for him/her.
     
  • Standard Subjects (i.e. Math, Science, Reading etc.) are not included in this program, however we do recommend certain standard subject curriculum providers; click here for more details.
     
  • All levels of the program included grading sheets for parents to complete with their child. Ad-Duha does not grade assignments.
     
  • Ad-Duha does provide support services for the curriculum via e-mail.
     
  • Upon completing this level of the program you can have your child tested in order to receive an official Ad-Duha Certificate of Completion . There is an additional fee for this service, please click here for full details.
     

Step 3: Shipping, Delivery and Refund Policies

We would like you to be familiar with Ad-Duha policies relating to shipping times, delivery, and refunds so that you are aware of what to expect once you place your order. Please take a moment to read each of the following policies.

US and Canada Shipping Time: Once you purchase the curriculum it takes 7-10 business days for you to receive your supplies. We ship via UPS Ground to all continental US and Canadian destinations (shipping costs are included in the program price listed above).

International Shipping Time: For international orders we ship via UPS Global Priority or USPS International. Additional shipping fees will be applicable, you will be informed by e-mail of the exact amount after placing your order, or you can contact us for a quote.

Duties and Tariffs: If you have enrolled from a country outside the US you may be charged tariffs or import duties on books and materials shipped as part of the program by your country of residence. Ad-Duha cannot be responsible for covering these costs or for calculating these costs for families ahead of time. It is the responsibility of the parent to pay all fees associated with the shipment upon receipt.

Refund Policy: Materials can be returned for a full refund (minus shipping costs and restocking fees) within 10 calendar days of the delivery date, as long as the materials are returned in unused condition (as determined by Ad-Duha). Ad-Duha will not refund any costs incurred for the return shipment. If you wish to return materials you must contact Ad-Duha for a return authorization and ship all returned materials in their original packing, via UPS ground with delivery confirmation, in order to be accepted.

Loss or Damage Policy: If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit Ad-Duha will, at its discretion, refund the cost of the program/damaged materials minus the shipping cost OR reship the course materials after compensation from the shipping company has been received. Ad-Duha cannot replace or reship materials without receiving a settlement from the shipping company to cover the cost of the refund or reshipment.
