Mini Mu’min Program Skills Assessment
In order to get the most from the Mini Mu’min Program your child should have the following skills:
- Can speak (form 2-3 word sentences) and can be understood by others.
- Can express his needs, likes, and dislikes.
- Can stay on task for 5-10 minutes or longer (for example when playing a game, cleaning up toys or looking at a book).
- Shows an interest in school (asks to look at books, shows interest in siblings’ schoolwork).
- Takes care of his belongings (does not rip books or paper, does not scribble on walls, etc.)
How to evaluate your child’s performance:
- If your child cannot complete all the items on this assessment, we recommend you wait 4-6 months and take the Skills Assessment at that time, before purchasing the program.
- If your child can complete all items on the assessment, then he is ready for the Mini Mu’min Program.
- If your child can do more than this assessment covers (for example already knows colors and shapes, can use a pencil/crayons, or has memorized one or more surahs) move on to Level ALP.
