Weekly Reminder #15

Weekly Reminder #15

Wouldn't we all like to have a little more kindness shown to us in our daily lives? Whether it be from family, friends, neighbors, or just strangers we pass in the street. If kindness is to grow in the world, it has to start somewhere. So, what better place to start than with ourselves.

Ad-Duha "Kinder World" Challenge!

The Hadith for this week was spoken by Rasulullah (saw) when he found his wife, Aisha (ruh), hitting a camel that was being difficult. She is not alone, we all have our own 'camels' that we beat at some time in our lives.

This week let's look and see where we can be more kind (to animals or human beings).

If your spouse has been distant recently, a gift or a sweet note could bring them closer.

If your children avoid you, maybe a smile or a laugh with them will make them seek you out.

If your neighbors are angry and difficult, bringing over a yummy dish or visiting when they are sick could warm their cold heart.

In short, if we want the world to be a kinder place, we have to make it kinder everyday as much as we can, Insha-Allah.
