Weekly Reminder #27

One of the most important things Allah teaches us in the Qur'aan is how to be grateful. Muslims must show gratitude not only with words, but also with actions (i.e., obeying Allah). We show gratitude to Allah directly through acts of worship and indirectly through compassion and gratitude to His creation. Ad-Duha Challenge This week contemplate the deep meaning of the quoted Hadith in regards to how we show gratitude to Allah and His creation. Then, ask yourself how you can be more grateful each day, Insha-Allah. For example, when we help others in need we are showing our gratitude to Allah for His blessings by sharing with others (remember, nothing truly belongs to us, we are only temporary custodians of Allah's bounty). Similarly, when we have been given something from another person, we need to show gratitude through repaying then, giving thanks, and/or praying for them. If we fail to show gratitude to others, it is the same as not showing gratitude to Allah (May Allah protect us from that, Ameen).
