Weekly Reminder #6
We often forget how important good manners are in Islaam because we are surrounded with bad manners every day. However, good manners are one of the most important good deeds we can do in small ways that add up to a righteous way of life over time.
What better time to remember this than the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah. These days are loved by Allah and are the best during which to do good deeds!
Ad-Duha Dhul-Hijjah Good Manners Challenge!
During these 10 days, let's make an effort to increase our good manners. We can start by refraining from gossip and backbiting, then move on to giving salaams to more people at the Masjid (don't forget to smile), and then continue by cleansing our speech of nasty words, slang expressions, and insults (Remember to start with your spouse, children, and close family first and get double the reward!). By Eid, you will really see a difference in yourself and so will the people around you, Insha-Allah!
